I just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone here,

i'm new, i just started decorating cakes and i love it!!

i'm posting a photo of the first cake i ever did, a bit ambitious i know, and i'll be the first to admit that it's quite busy..lol

i just had to try out all the different techniques i've seen

any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

at first i figured that i had just rolled the fondant too thin
on my 2nd attempt i made sure i put a thicker layer of icing on and rolled the fondant a bit thicker

but i still mess up the fondant at the bottom ..maybe that's my signature..lol

Welcome aboard Salinah! For your first cake, you did well. I agree with Elle about making sure your frosting is smooth. Keep working at it and you will do well.

Wonderful job and welcome   Your second looks awesome!  I love the colors in the first one.  Congrats, and good luck with ur future cakes!
