In DESPERATE need of puppy dog cake ideas

[/color]

Okay, I know this is a really short notice, but I am in desperate need of some ideas and pictures of a cake that is a "puppy dog"  I promised a lady at work a cake for her daughters 3rd birthday and I had an idea, but the more I look at it, the more I dont' like it.  It would be 2-12" circle cakes on top of each other with 2 cupcakes at the bottom for feet.  The entire cake would be icing of white buttercream with black polka dot spots and the large cakes would be decorated as the face of the dog.  I really cannot find anyideas online and would like your'all's opinion of what I can do.  IT is Thursday and I have to bake this cake tommorrow. Yipes!!
Thanks bunches, Holly

I hope it's not too late.  You could use black fondant for the circles and the plastic eyes that you buy from the craft section of Walmart or Michaels.  The red looks like Twizzlers candy.

Smile  For future reference - if you ever need a dog cake again - use the stand up lamb pan (Wilton) - It makes an adorable puppy.  I used the (hair or 'grass') tip to decorate him.
