my latest wedding cake

I worked on the orchids, pearls, roses, ivy, stephanotis and leavesfor over 2 months before even starting to build this cake. The bottom 3 tiers are styrofoam and  after the wedding I will add the top 2 in styrofoam to save this cake for display. I am also including my first display cake in this thread. Hope you like them. It was a white chocolate cream cake with raspberry and lemon fillings and champagne in the buttercream on the side cakes we ate.

RE: my latest wedding cake

The cake is absolutely beautiful!!!  Was it a small, wedding...since only the top 2 tiers were cake (but they just wanted the look of a grand cake?)
I like how the squares were off-set, and the design was fabulous.  All of your preparation the months before paid off.

Actually -I also made 4- two layer 10" squares, torted with strawberry and lemon fillings and with champagne iin the buttercreme icing on them . It was around 150 guests. I originally planned a 14,12,10,8,and 6  size all in real cake, but someone let me know that the off set squares would not be viable on a 2 inch pan differential. So we replanned the cake to 18,15,12,9,and 6 and I didn't want to order another set of pans so we went with three tiers of styrofoam and side cakes in the kitchen.

Being her former Wilton Method Instructor I am so very proud of Dusty Rusty, I am sure you will all agree that she has "Come a Long Way Baby".  I can still remember when she made her first buttercream rose and she was so proud of it in Lesson 1.  It has not been that long ago.

Congratulations!  I told you I was not the only one that thought your cakes were phenomenal!!!!
